‘Tis the season to be jolly… so don’t be a ***k!

 

Ahhhh, ‘tis the season!   Joy to the World, Peace on Earth and Silent Night… or, is it??

 

If you’ve been living under a rock (umm, you’re my hero), then you’re blissfully unaware of the state in the world.  Specifically, I am referring to the state of our states.  If you’ve been following me (THANK YOU!), then you know that I just do not enjoy politics.   This season of bickering has downright P****D me off.  Leave me be and let me deck my halls with boughs of holly.

More importantly, leave each other alone.  The words, “Child-like behavior” cannot even be used to describe the politicians who are embroiled in a stubborn display of will.  Not even children would act this way; this time of year, especially.  While y’all hurl insults, others wrap gifts for strangers….While you defiantly loathe your opposers, others make meals for those who have no kitchens… and while you suck the life out of our radios, televisions, and papers, others pen holiday cards to their loved ones.

STOP messing with Christmastime.

Admittedly, I have been sucked into political debates.  I get angry at the behavior of others; and pray for forgiveness in my own.  Politics of today have, quite simply, become an epic s**+ show.

Politicians become elected through the support of the citizens, yes?  We take time away from busy schedules to stand in line and cast our ballots in favor of people we barely even know.  Some of us (not mentioning any names) may hold our nose while doing so.  The esteem of years past in reference to our elected officials, seems to have faded away.  Why is that?  Well, just turn on the television and you’ll see.

Just like in the bible, there are two sides of the aisle.  Believers and non-believers.  Newsflash for you politicians:  Jesus is the only one who truly overcame his enemies.  Oh, and by the way, he did it for you.  Perhaps if y’all took a page out of Jesus’ handbook, you would recall that he actually prayed for his opposers.

Can y’all imagine, in the middle of an impeachment hearing, someone praying for the other?  LOL.  Alas, it’s like the Grinch came to town instead.

And, yet, persecution remains.   Have we not learned anything??

We should be preparing for the celebration of the birth of our Savior.  We should be mindfully picturing the journey to the stable.  We should be present in Him.

So, turn off the stations who cover the ranting and insults (even at children, WTF?!) and move on over to the Holly channels.  We have a birthday party comin’, and we have much to do.

Oh, and for the love of God, do not talk politics around the table!!
